Presention of idea for "House of Culture" in Maassluis 

On request of initiator Leo lauwaars we have investigated the possibilities of a new dynamic "House of Culture" in the former buildings of Sanofi at the outer harbour and the Nieuwe Waterweg river in Maassluis. Almost all museums of Maassluis can be  housed in these historic maritime pilotage and towage buildings.  The quay and the port offer a lot of room for activities outside.

In discussions with all parties we developed a programme and a spatial interpretation for the buildings. In addition, housing Association Maasdelta calculated the financial feasibility. All parties support the plans and look forward to realization. The idea has recently been presented in the City Council and waits for funds for further development.
