Reception hall De Schilpen/Tavenu and canvas roof Pynasplein

The 2012 budget of the Municipality Midden-Delfland includes the realisation of the reception hall between the municipal museum De Schilpen and Tavenu. This budget also incorporates the realisation of a demountable canvas roof over the Pynasplein (Pynas square).

In 2010 we made a preliminary design and also investigated the feasibility of the two projects. The design of the reception hall consists of a glass space, which physically connects the Tavenu and De Schilpen. The flat roof is separated  from the two buildings by an edging of glass, in this manner the two historic façades will be fully visible. It also ensures that the created space visually continues to be part of the urban space of the Pynasplein.

On the Pynasplein we have an active role in the realisation of a demountable canvas roof, which will protect visitors of outside activities from wind and rain.
