Böhtlingk architectuur benadert het werk zoals een uitvinder dat doet: een sterk idee uitwerken tot in detail. Wij maken vaste en mobiele werken die soms in één opdracht samen vallen. Böhtlingk architecture approaches the work in the same way an inventor does: foremost a strong idea tailor-made to its function. We make both permanent and mobile buildings, which sometimes coincide in one assignment.
Mobile Unity
2001. In this concept the design process is completely turned upside down; each member of the household develops his own mobile private space with the architect/designer. The way in which they choose to inhabit the interstitial space reveals the relationships between the occupants. The façade is draped around these mobile spaces as a second skin. In this way the architect and client will work together from the beginning of the design process, creating a better understanding and product. (see also Day-care centre Bergen op Zoom)
