Böhtlingk architectuur benadert het werk zoals een uitvinder dat doet: een sterk idee uitwerken tot in detail. Wij maken vaste en mobiele werken die soms in één opdracht samen vallen. Böhtlingk architecture approaches the work in the same way an inventor does: foremost a strong idea tailor-made to its function. We make both permanent and mobile buildings, which sometimes coincide in one assignment.
Waalsprong
The new sewage pumping-station is situated alongside the future Betuwe railway, as a part of the waste-water transportsystem Waalsprong/Arnhem-Zuid. It is mainly visible from a big distance and therefore has an eye-catching sculpture-like design. The rectangular main volume has a vertical waving anthracite masonry. On the contrary the other volumes are carried out in a smooth and shiny glued brick-work. The difference in texture between the two brick façades creates a tension in the appearence of the building. A somewhat mysterious appearence, whereby the play between light and shadow constantly evokes a different image.
