“The Office expresses collectivity and incorporates space for change”
The regional main office of The Rabobank Westland has an oval as its basic shape. This expresses the cooperative spirit of the bank. Because of the glass facade the building has an inviting and open character. At the same time the focus is directed at the heart of the building towards the atrium. Three storey’s of offices and other functions are grouped around this oval atrium. The Interior and exterior are developed as a whole. The atrium accommodates for three mobile discussion spaces.
The office earns high merits for energy efficiency. Seasonal thermal storage in the earth, triple self-cleaning glass, high daylight levels inside, solar panels and a high insulation value make this office a very energy efficient office in the Netherlands.
