Day-care centre

With the introduction of little houses inside the large former school building, the space is brought to the scale of a child. These houses offer the children and the care-givers spaces for specific activities and divide the large group space into useable play spaces. (see also The Mobile Unity). In this concept, the wet houses serve for toilet and changing, the sleep-houses for nap time, and the façade furniture for playing on the threshold of inside and outside. For orientation and recognition inside the centre, each individual area has been given its own colour.
